A standalone Playwright CLI: shot (screenshots), grab (page extraction + JSON), form (SAFE autofill, never submits), probe (read-only readiness). Live-tested across real sites including captcha detection, redirects, 404s and SPAs.
4 commands safe-fill captcha detect 15/15 live checks bug found + fixed
Architecture One CLI, four commands, shared safety invariants: final-submit markers are detected and REPORTED (never clicked), captcha signals detected and REPORTED (never solved), every command read-only or fill-only.
Engineering decisions Found + fixed a real bug: grab extracted links via per-URL CSS selectors that never matched when the DOM href lacked a trailing slash (30s timeout) — replaced with a single in-page evaluation. Safety invariants baked into the CLI: no CAPTCHA bypass, no final-submit click, no unattended action. Signed-in profile pattern: a dedicated automation profile (copied to temp to dodge version locks) drives real sites after a one-time manual sign-in. Verified live: python.org, Wikipedia (57 link origins), Playwright docs, httpbin forms, the real reCAPTCHA demo (correctly detected, exit 1). Stack Python Playwright CLI signed-in profile

A browser opens visibly and drives itself: it navigates to a site, types a search, extracts headings and links, fills a form with green highlights and never presses submit, takes a full-page screenshot, then a captcha flashes a warning and automation stops — cinematic automation demo
